Custom Guidewires
As a manufacturer of custom medical guidewires, we can support your required specifications. Provide us with component-level and assembly drawings and we will manufacture per your specification. We do not manufacture standard guidewires.
When manufacturing medical guidewires, different materials may be used for the outer coil and core areas. Each material has its own distinct engineering advantage. Common materials include:
- 304V
- 316LVM
- Nitinol
- Platinum Iridium
- Platinum Tungsten
- Tungsten (gold plated optional)
Ask about our new material technologies that can make the difference for your next generation guidewire.
A variety of guidewire tips are available, including tips with shapes that can be modified by the operator as needed during usage. Our main offerings include Straight, Angled and J-tips.
The majority of guidewires have an exterior coating that reduces friction. The main coatings that we work with are PTFE and Hydrophilic.
